We’ve all seen the ads: “Earn $40 per hour taking surveys online!” or “Make $2000 per month working from home in your pajamas!”
This shouldn’t be considered a work-at-home opportunity. You WILL NOT be able to earn a full-time (or even part-time) income completing surveys online. And you should NEVER pay for a company to provide you with survey opportunities!
However, you can make a little extra cash, or earn points that can be redeemed for gift cards or other fun rewards. And a $10 check or gift certificate once in a while is definitely a fun treat when you’re not expecting it!
I’ve signed up with a variety of different survey sites on and off over the last couple decades. Depending on what my schedule allows, for a period of time I’ll be really involved in completing surveys daily, and then sometimes I’ll go for months without even looking at them. That’s okay – there’s no commitment and no penalty. Some programs may deactivate your account if you haven’t responded to any surveys for a certain period of time, though.
