A little bit about me…
Deb is wife to Kevin and mom to two young boys. When her second son was born, she became a stay-at-home mom after working in the corporate world for over 13 years. Responding to decreasing income and rising grocery costs, she discovered coupon shopping as a way to significantly reduce her family’s monthly household spending.
Coupons can save you more than just a couple dollars each week on your groceries. You just need to know how to use them the right way. Sounds silly, but there really is a legitimate way to shop with coupons that will not only allow you to SAVE BIG on the items you really want to buy, but will also provide you with opportunities to GIVE TO OTHERS without spending more. You don’t have to change the way you eat. Just the way you shop!
In March 2011, I had an opportunity to give a presentation on the benefit of coupon shopping as part of an all-day workshop at Broken Chains Church called “Breaking the Chains of Financial Slavery.” Though I had provided my audience with a list of internet resources to assist them afterwards, I left there wishing that I had been able to direct them to a website of my own, so that they could follow up with me directly and review the information in the same format as what I presented in the seminar. And so GoodStewardess.com was born!
As a Good Stewardess, I am committed to helping others spend less on the things that they need for their families, so that they have more to pay off debt, share with others, and save for emergencies. The internet is full of really great information to help you spend less on your household shopping. But as you browse the web, remember: stewardship isn’t about finding great deals or stocking a two year supply of body wash in your pantry. It is about spending wisely and giving generously. It’s also about caring for everything that God has entrusted to us, including time, talents, relationships, the earth, and even ourselves (I love this explanation of stewardship).
My desire is to live my life in a way that pleases God. I’m not perfect at it, but with His help I will keep trying! It is a blessing to be able to provide tips and information here that might help others.

Deb, I am so proud of you! What a great job and what a blessing for helping others like myself that aren’t good at finding coupons!
Love,
Mom
